
Dr. Bimala Rai Paudyal
Dr. Bimala Rai Paudyal is a former Member for National Planning Commission (NPC). She is an expert in public policy making, especially in the areas of social protection, gender equality & social inclusion and natural resource Governance. She has more than 20 years engagement with wide range of organizations, including academia, bilateral institutions. She is the founder member at South Asia School of Rural Reconstruction (SARR) and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Development Studies at Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU) of Nepal. She holds a PhD in Development Studies, (2001-2007), Institute of Social Studies ISS, The Hague and a Masters in Economics and Management of Rural Development, IDPM, from Manchester University, UK (1995-96).
