Mr. Birendra Kumar Misra

Mr. Birendra Kumar Misra is serving at Department of Information Technology as the Director General since 2014. Mr. Misra, who has a degree of M.Sc in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal University in 2003, also served at Inland Revenue Department under the Ministry of Finance for over 14 years, first as the Information Technology Director and later as the Deputy Director General. Born in 1962 in Routahat district, Mr. Misra has completed 2-year advance course in Computer Science from London in 1999. He has been recognized by Outstanding Civil Service Award 2007.
