
Honorable Dr. Min Bahadur Shrestha
Dr. Min Bahadur Shrestha is the Vice-Chairman of National Planning Commission. Prior to his appointment to this post in September 2016, he was serving as the Executive Director at Nepal Rastra Bank, the central bank of Nepal, for six years, heading research and public debt management departments. During his 28 years long career at the central bank, he mainly worked in the area of economic research, policy analysis, training and strategy formulation. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from University of Wollongong, Australia and an MBA from Hult International Business School, United Kingdom. He has authored 7 books and a significant number of research papers in peer-reviewed international journals on financial liberalization, capital flows, monetary policy, welfare, nternational migration, time series econometrics and financial inclusion.
